CIOC Humanitarian Initiative is dedicated to creating immediate and lasting change in the lives of those in need. Our work with donors and partners is aimed at mainstreaming the vulnerable members of our community: the homeless, street children, orphans, and semi orphans, helpless seniors, young school dropouts, and HIV victims including children living with HIV/AIDS in the national building by providing care, support & protection through medication, food, education, employment facilities/access by engaging in subsistence agricultural farming.
COMMUNITY & ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
CIOC Humanitarian Initiative works to:
Provide primary health care to community residents.
Organize sanitation collection and disposal and removal of environmental conditions that affect health conditions.
Construct boreholes for clean drinking water and safe access to water.
CIOC Humanitarian Initiative is always SEEKING for Volunteers AND Philanthropists AROUND THE GLOBE!
We are grassroots and hands on. Not a project, program type of organization. We want people to become part of our community effort. The rewards of helping people with no opportunity to support themselves is beyond explanation.
We are moving forward to a new era of helping needy,
under the mantra of "I am for charity".
Let us spread kindness, love, peace & wisdom. Let our sacrifice impact the lives of others. Transparency, integrity, and accountability assured! Join us!
This volunteer will be involved in identification of funding for skills training, food security, health care, education, shelter, and clothing activities. After funding is raised to initiate activities, volunteers with teaching skills will be needed locally to teach these activities. Volunteers who are experienced in training will be critical as will those who can assist us in obtaining a consistent source of education materials. We presently have a major shortage of educational materials.
This volunteer will be responsible for researching funding sources for creation of water works, and subsistence agriculture, and logistics such as transport. Volunteers experienced in basic agricultural practices are critical for teaching subsistence farming and as well as volunteers experienced in small business creation to assist in starting income production activities in the transport of food and people.
Volunteers in creation of basic water works will be critical as people in the community are getting drinking water from rivers, a health hazard and a daily activity which consumes the most productive time of adults and children. People in the community have demonstrated skill and success in upgrading and repair of water cisterns.
Develops communication on the CIOC website and circulates information on needs to other media outlets. We want to share our experience with other African communities and join with them when beneficial to reduce poverty and food insecurity. We hope to build a network of success in our immediate region through generation of socioeconomic opportunity and self reliance for youth.
The Media Volunteer will coordinate with all other volunteers regarding their activities and progress and specific activities and with the Director of CIOC, determine all public dissemination of community activities.
Private Sector Sponsor
We would consider and welcome financial assistance from private sponsors when appropriate and mutually beneficial. Fundraising events would be an example of this cooperation.
We would consider association with a public sponsor in cooperation with furthering a cause such as community health advancement, regional food security, etc.
Since our inception, we’ve worked around the clock to expand our causes and help those who need our help. Every contribution goes toward making our community a better place, so if you’re looking to contribute a donation or your time, please get in touch today. Making a positive difference has never been so easy.
PROMOTING SELF-RELIANCE IN LOCAL DEVELOPMENT
CIOC Humanitarian Initiative Co.Ltd. is a community-based charity in Uganda covering many communities in Mityana District. Our main purpose is to improve the physical and socio-economic well-being of people at the most basic level in order to stabilize their health and to enable them to establish a viable existence.
We represent a new type of development effort in that we are working from the source of the need to define our efforts and implementation.
We are dependent on monetary contributions and donations of clothing and other materials, and services. We receive no contributions from government or private institutions.
We promote self-reliance of our community members by using donations to establish the most basic and stable framework for living: shelter, health, food and security, education, and employment access.
Our recipients are heavily involved in helping each other and thereby creating a permanent community development platform on which to improve their lives.
